Redeveloping Fibonacci Square in Dublin

Climaveneta units chosen for the new NZEB in Ireland

Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems, though its brand Climaveneta, has supplied the HVAC units for Fibonacci Square. Fibonacci Property ICAV, a joint venture between RGRE and Colony, have signed a 25-year lease agreement with Facebook for the 52,304 m² Fibonacci Square of which 32,500 m² are to be allocated for office space. The project has redeveloped the AIB Bank Centre site in Ballsbridge, Dublin by demolishing 4 existing offices buildings to make way for 2, six-storey buildings, with three basement levels.

From the beginning of the project the goal has been to create a NZEB Compliant and LEED Certified building.  Therefore, the technology used has been chosen with a focus on being green, from heat pumps controlling the HVAC system through to green roofs on all terraced areas to the control and filter water discharge.

To meet the project’s sustainable goals, Climaveneta branded units have been installed. Specifically, 4x i-FX-Q2/XL-CA/S 1002 full inverter air source extra low noise version multi-purpose heat pumps. The main feature of these units is their ability to manage both heating and cooling demands, based on the actual load requirements of the system. Thanks to these units, optimal comfort and maximum efficiency is ensured throughout the building, independently and all-year round.
